     Our employer is the 17th Judicial District Court.  This is the best of all worlds between state, parish and private employment because we have the best benefits from all three.  The court has it's on employee policy and leave benefits and they are attractive.  Starting benefit leave is a day of sick and annual for every month, so basically you are starting with 12 days of sick and annual leave each year.  The court observes a couple of extra holidays more than most employers due to the court house schedule and events.  The bulk of the funding for Drug Court comes from the Supreme Court and is very secure compared to most state functions.
